Sharon had an early career in the Royal Australian Air Force in logistics, followed by a second career in financial planning and financial services training. She then ran her own consultancy for over 2 decades, focusing on learning, development and strategy with clients from the public, corporate and charity sectors, as well as running leadership and team building programs and communities of practice.
Sharon has worked with a number of not-for-profit organisations and foundations on varied projects and roles – such as a peer mentoring program and collective impact program with United Way Australia and funded by AMP Foundation. She also ran a project to improve financial literacy and was involved in a collaboration to increase school-to-work opportunities for young people in Western Sydney with ING Foundation and United Way Australia.
Since moving back to Adelaide, Sharon volunteers and leads a range of local initiatives for the Onkaparinga Food Security Collaborative.
