Future Generation launches women’s investment fund to drive gender equality

In an Australian first, Future Generation has launched an investment fund that aims to deliver both financial returns and progress towards gender equality in Australia. Managed by women portfolio managers, Future Generation Women will bring a gender lens into investment decisions, while directing 1% of its assets annually to not-for-profit organisations working to advance economic equity and opportunities for women and their children.

Corporate giving grows to $1.5 billion: GivingLarge report

The 2024 GivingLarge report has revealed that Australia’s top 50 corporate givers contributed a record $1.5 billion to community initiatives in FY 2024. The 2024 philanthropy marks a 14% increase from 2023 (an additional $171 million).
Philanthropy supports professorship to honour Sir Gustav Nossal

The exceptional legacy of former director of the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI) and Australian treasure Sir Gustav Nossal AC CBE will continue through an ongoing professorship, enabled through the philanthropy of the Nossal family. Sir Gus is one of Philanthropy Australia’s two patrons.
