It was a fantastic way for members and sector leaders to get to know Maree Sidey and discuss the unique South Australian for-purpose sector. Maree Sidey concluded Philanthropy Australia’s Meet the CEO event by saying: “I am looking forward to helping continue to partner with you on growing more and better philanthropy in SA.” Philanthropy Australia hosted a series of events in Queensland Philanthropy Week, bringing together members, key sector stakeholders and individuals dedicated to more and better giving in their communities. Seven of Queensland’s leading individual and corporate philanthropists were named winners across a range of categories. They were treated to guest appearances from tennis star Ash Barty AO and her father Rob, who spoke about the new Ash Barty Foundation. On the screen in the picture above is the late Mike Ahern AO, Queensland Community Foundation’s founder. Speaking is The Honourable Margaret McMurdo AC, Chair of Queensland Gives.Award recipients and presenters at the Creative Australia Partnership Awards 2024, held on 18 June.
