Conference update: your opportunity to ‘pay it forward’ to a not-for-profit leader
Philanthropy Australia Conference registrations are selling fast, so it’s an important time to think about who is ‘in the room’. At each conference, a variety of generous members, people and organisations choose to ‘pay it forward’. They do this by donating to help cover the cost of conference registration for leaders of smaller not-for-profit organisations who would not otherwise be able to attend.
Donations to scholarships are tax deductible, so today and this weekend are excellent times to give. Please consider a scholarship donation in your end of financial year giving or give next week and get an early start on FY24/25’s giving.
Philanthropy Australia CEO Maree Sidey encouraged conference registrants to think about donating.
“Scholarships to the conference can be transformative. They provide a powerful learning experience through the plenaries and concurrent sessions. They give the recipients – the leaders of smaller not-for-profits (particularly those from rural and regional communities) – the time to meet and network with peers from across their state and the nation,” Maree said.
“What better way to work for a more generous and inclusive Australia?”
