Australians Investing In Women (AIIW) has released the findings from the second annual State of Gender-wise Giving Survey. It provides an important benchmark to better understand the degree of gender-focused philanthropic giving in Australia. AIIW have also released the seventh video in their Empowered Giving for a Fairer Future series.

Paul Conroy, CEO of The Ian Potter Foundation, gave the Feilman Oration at the recent Australia and New Zealand Third Sector Research Conference in Sydney. It’s a fascinating speech with Paul concluding with a strong call to action: “We must trust the organisations working on the ground to know what they need and how to apply funds. ... So, let’s do that. Fund them. Support them. Trust them.” |

The 2025 NEXUS Australia summit will be held 3-5 March in the Victorian capital under the banner Brave Voices, Bold Ideas. The objective of the summit is to ‘connect across sectors, inspire through shared experiences and activate new pathways to accelerate change and achieve lasting impact’. |

The idea of housing as a human right has recently gained traction, partly thanks to the Inquiry into Australia's Human Rights Framework and the proposal for a National Housing and Homelessness Plan, embedded in law. The AICD is pleased to offer governance scholarships to those in leadership positions within NFP organisations in rural, regional or remote areas of Qld, NSW, Vic, Tas, SA and WA. Supporting rural and regional Australia, this scholarship program will help up to 150 leaders deepen their understanding of governance principles by completing an applicable AICD course.

Each year, the Centre for Social Impact offers a range of scholarships to students pursuing social impact studies at our four partner universities. With thanks to the generosity of our supporters, this year, over $110,000 in funding is available, with additional scholarships on offer for students studying at CSI UNSW.
The application deadlines vary by course, with closing dates either on 15 December 2024 or 12 January 2025. |
