Australia’s women philanthropic leaders have united at an event hosted by the Governor-General, Her Excellency Sam Mostyn AC at Government House yesterday in Canberra. The landmark meeting aimed to find new strategies to help meet the target of doubling giving in Australia by 2030 as the sustained cost-of-living crisis stretches service providers beyond capacity. |

Wayne Green, Philanthropy Australia's Director, Engagement, Victoria and Tasmania, was previously Executive Director of Honeycomb, a New York-based philanthropy organisation. During his time in the US, he saw Giving Tuesday grow to a significant day on the philanthropic calendar in many parts of the world. As fundraising platform Raisley takes on hosting the campaign in Australia – next week on 3 December – Wayne reflects on the new potential for the initiative here.

Not-for-profit organisations can now apply for funding from Perpetual’s IMPACT Philanthropy Application Program. Perpetual focuses on four pillars when assessing applications for funding, identifying organisations that can maximise their impact through good governance, solid leadership, strong strategy and an outcomes focus.

State Trustees Australia Foundation Emotional Wellbeing FY2025-27 Grant Round's purpose is to support the emotional wellbeing of young people living in our rural and regional Victorian communities. The Eastern Star Foundation's 2024 grant round will have a total funding pool of $400,000 with a focus on supporting Queensland’s ageing communities, particularly those who suffer from mobility issues, sickness or disease to improve and enhance their quality of life. Each year, the Centre for Social Impact offers a range of scholarships to students pursuing social impact studies at our four partner universities. With thanks to the generosity of our supporters, this year, over $110,000 in funding is available, with additional scholarships on offer for students studying at CSI UNSW.
