Philanthropy is partnering with the federal government to develop a national, independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the needs and aspirations of local communities and addressing entrenched disadvantage. Five of Australia's leading philanthropic bodies have matched the government's investment of $19.3m over five years to establish Partnerships for Local Action and Community Empowerment (PLACE), it was announced last week. |

auDA’s R&D Grant Program funds multi-year partnerships for projects that deliver impact through research and development. Up to two grants of between $300,000 and $500,000 per annum for three years are available to Australian university or research organisations registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission (ACNC). Not-for-profit organisations can now apply for funding from Perpetual’s IMPACT Philanthropy Application Program. Perpetual focuses on four pillars when assessing applications for funding, identifying organisations that can maximise their impact through good governance, solid leadership, strong strategy and an outcomes focus.

Future Generation Australia is running a nationwide Expression of Interest to establish partnerships with ten to fifteen high potential non-profits, supporting Australian children aged 0-14 facing adversity to flourish. Through these partnerships, Future Generation will provide multi-year, untied funding and additional capacity support.

The Eastern Star Foundation's 2024 grant round will have a total funding pool of $400,000 with a focus on supporting Queensland’s ageing communities, particularly those who suffer from mobility issues, sickness or disease to improve and enhance their quality of life. Each year, the Centre for Social Impact offers a range of scholarships to students pursuing social impact studies at our four partner universities. With thanks to the generosity of our supporters, this year, over $110,000 in funding is available, with additional scholarships on offer for students studying at CSI UNSW.
