Expanding the use of social impact evaluation in the for-purpose sector received a significant boost this week in a new grant round from the Paul Ramsay Foundation (PRF). The grants, worth $2.1million in total, for evaluations that include trials and other experimental, ethically performed components, were announced by Assistant Minister for Competition, Charities, and Treasury, the Hon Dr Andrew Leigh MP. |

The Creative Australia Partnership Awards were held this week in Sydney. Of the four awards, two Philanthropy Leadership Awards were presented – to James & Diana Ramsay Foundation and to ACT-based philanthropist Meredith Hinchliffe AM. |

The research provides valuable insights that can inform corporate and charitable approaches to engaging donors in the workplace. Workplace Giving Australia identified five critical insights for 2024, one of them being to offer more simplicity in giving.

IMPACT100 Sydney North gives at least one major grant of $100,000 each year. Non-profits and social enterprises working in the Greater Sydney region are eligible to apply. They invite applications from organisations assisting families, young people and children at risk. This encompasses key areas of need such as domestic and family violence, women’s shelters, refugees and asylum seekers, disability, homelessness, poverty, alcohol and substance abuse, mental health, etc. Applications close on Friday 28 June 2024. |

The Australia Post Community Grants program supports local community organisations across Australia to help people connect and stay mentally well. Eligible not-for-profit community groups can apply to receive a grant of up to $10,000 for local, community-led projects that connect individuals and communities to improve mental health and mental wellbeing.

QBE Foundation local grants provide meaningful support for community initiatives addressing specific areas of need. From 3 June-3 July 2024, the QBE Foundation is inviting Australian community organisations working to address climate resilience and inclusion to apply for one of a number of $40,000 grants to be awarded in 2024. The Pride Foundation Australia is proud to announce its second grant round for 2024, with a total funding pool of $10,000 and a focus on supporting sexuality, sex and gender diverse (LGBTQIA+) people living in regional and rural areas of Australia. Social Enterprise Development Initiative (SEDI) Grants help social enterprises, including trading Indigenous owned or controlled organisations with a defined social benefit, grow their business, scale their impact and further their missions of creating positive social change. The grants, valued at up to $120,000 each, are targeted towards supporting social enterprises to be more effective and efficient in demonstrating and increasing social impact for the people and communities they exist to support.
