The research examines the extent of cultural diversity in the sector and the flow-on impact for the partners and communities that it works with. |

Research released by Philanthropy Australia and Seer Data about intergenerational wealth transfer proved a conversation starter about philanthropy in several media outlets last week. Figures revealed the 10 suburbs in Australia and by state/territory where the next generation are set to inherit more than $3 million from their parents – and where there are new opportunities to grow giving. |

Community Foundations Australia has appointed internationally regarded community philanthropy executive Ian Bird OLY from Canada as its new CEO. Ian, who will join the organisation in October, will bring a depth of experience in community foundation development and leadership from his current role as chair of the Global Fund for Community Foundations and his former role as the President and CEO of Community Foundations of Canada. |

The Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellowships aim to support breakthrough solutions to Australia’s most pressing social and environmental challenges.
A Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for recipients to take 12 months, supported by $180,000, to focus on approaches that have the potential to achieve positive outcomes for society, supporting initiatives that align with one or more of the program themes of inclusion & equality, sustainability and environment including climate change, or human, civil and legal rights. |
