Formalised this week in Canberra, the Investment Dialogue’s collective aim is to improve the wellbeing of children, young people and their families by working with communities to reduce intergenerational disadvantage in Australia. The initiative is shaping up as an unprecedented, long-term, integrated and community-led approach to supporting children, families and communities to thrive.

‘I can’t wait to get things under way’
Community Foundations Australia has appointed internationally regarded community philanthropy executive Ian Bird OLY from Canada as its new CEO. Ian, who will join the organisation in October, will bring a depth of experience in community foundation development and leadership from his current role as chair of the Global Fund for Community Foundations and his former role as the President and CEO of Community Foundations of Canada.
SA charity match raises funds for flood recovery
The SA Flood Recovery Match was held as the curtain raiser at Coopers Stadium, Adelaide, to support farmers affected by natural disasters in SA, particularly the recent River Murray flood event.
