Festive wishes and looking ahead to 2025
Maree Sidey, Philanthropy Australia’s CEO shares festive wishes and a preview of what’s in store for 2025. Read the full video transcript below.
Hello PA members.
It’s lovely to be in touch at the end of 2024 with an end of year message to all of you, thanking you for your support throughout this year. It’s been an absolute delight since I started in the role in mid 2024 to have a chance to move around the country and meet with all of you, seek your feedback on Philanthropy Australia and where we are heading.
I’ve got some exciting news about next year. We have two major events coming up in 2025, the first being our Philanthropy Meets Parliament Summit in August next year. And we will round out the year with a fabulous 50th celebration event.
In more PA news, we’ve just finished our organisational restructure, so you’ll see some roles being advertised for PA. This is simply a shuffling of the decks in terms of the responsibilities in the organisation, and we are really excited to announce the appointment of two new candidates into two of our senior leadership positions. Rachel Findlay will be our Executive Director of Membership and Engagement, and Bella Conyngham will replace Rachel in the role of Director of Engagement in New South Wales and the ACT. So huge congratulations, Rachel and Bella.
And finally, I wanted to finish with thanking all of you for your support of PA. Your contribution is hugely valued and it’s just been lovely getting to know you all this year. So wishing you all a joyous festive season, a safe and happy New Year, and look forward to seeing you again in 2025.
