Senior Philanthropy Manager: Asia
Friday, 5 Jan 2024
The University of Nottingham’s vision is to be a university without borders, where we embrace the opportunities presented by a changing world, and where ambitious people and a creative culture will enable us to change the world for the better. The Campaign & Alumni Relations Office engages a global community of over 320,000 alumni and friends to support and enable this, and philanthropy plays a pivotal role in turning these ambitions into reality.
As part of a strategic drive to achieve a step change in our fundraising activities and outcomes, we are building our capacity across a number of new and existing roles in both the UK and Asia teams. The newly created Senior Philanthropy Manager: Asia is one of these key positions.
Based in Hong Kong and reporting to the Director of Philanthropy: Asia, you will be responsible for maximising philanthropic income for the University of Nottingham in the Asia Pacific region, focusing on the priority areas of Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
Taking a truly regional approach, you will work not only with colleagues in the Campaign and Alumni Office at the UK campus, but will also collaborate closely with the Advancement teams at the China and Malaysia campuses.
You will bring substantial fundraising experience in the higher education, arts, charity or health sectors with a sustained track record of securing five, six and seven figure gifts from individuals, companies and trusts and foundations.
While not essential, Mandarin or Cantonese language skills will be highly regarded.
