About This Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Leadership Annual Giving Senior Coordinator to join our team, for this new position within the Global and Institutional Philanthropy team. You will be responsible for implementing a Leadership Annual Giving (LAG) program to grow the number of donors who give $1,000 to $10,000 annually. You will be involved in partnering with faculties and institutes, and key stakeholders to gather data, to maintain relationships with a large group of donors through targeted cultivation strategies, and to monitor and evaluate the program to ensure its success. In addition to analytical skills, you will require creative thinking and the ability to build relationships with new donors. Under the supervision of, and with guidance from the Senior Manager and Head of Advancement (Student Experience) you will implement, coordinate and review the emerging LAG program at UQ.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Work with key faculties to qualify and build a pipeline of 300+ current and prospective LAG donors.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with current and prospective donors at the Leadership Annual Giving (LAG) level; donors giving $1k-$10K each year.
- Develop innovative strategies to manage a high volume of prospects and donors, providing a personalised approach to large scale outreach, including solicitation and stewardship.
- Develop strategies to move donors through the donor life cycle, to identify major gift potential ($50k+) and refer upwards with appropriate hand-off of relationships to major gift officers.
- Partner with the Annual Giving team to establish a LAG leads identification strategy and implement plans for the management of referrals into the LAG portfolio.
- Collaborate with the Prospect Development team to implement a tracking and reporting process for LAG donors as ACE transitions to a new CRM.
- Build, manage and steward strong and collaborative working relationship with colleagues within Advancement and across the university to support a one-UQ approach to the portfolio’s priorities.
- Contribute to and encourage the University-wide understanding of educational philanthropy and be committed to best practice
- Meet key performance indicators including: number of contacts, visits, solicitations and gift commitments per annum.
- Develop and monitor fundraising campaigns and analyse reports, statistics and other data to identify trends and improve fundraising strategies
- As required, assist in the establishment of new donor-funded projects (e.g. equity scholarships, pathway programs or research projects etc), recording all relevant information in the CRM
- Ensure data is filed and records are kept up to date, and assist in the ACE database transition to the new CRM.
- Represent UQ at events, functions and other donor engagement activities.

This is a full-time (100%), fixed term position for up to 3 years.
At HEW level 7, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $96,649.64 – $105,244.58, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $113,080.08- $123,136.15 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.

Under the leadership of the Vice-President, Advancement and Community Engagement (VPACE), UQ Advancement and Community Engagement is investing in a high performing team to partner with UQ academia to deliver new sustainable levels of philanthropic support.
About You
Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant area and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to prepare complex documentation, and communicate with diverse groups within and external to the University;
Demonstrated experience in developing networks, building relationships and operationalising partnerships;
Organisational and administrative skills with the demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, to work under pressure and establish priorities, with a commitment to quality outcomes;
Self-motivated and the ability to work autonomously and as a team member;
Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong preference for experience with software and CRMs such as Raiser’s Edge, Graduway and/or SalesForce.
A good understanding and awareness of the operational environment within and outside UQ and current issues in Australian and international higher education
Exceptional writing skills an asset.
