Rising Women Leaders – Expression of Interest

Society of Women Leaders (SWL) is one of the leading collective giving circles in Australia.  It is comprised of over 50 female philanthropists and humanitarians, generously providing financial support, time, and access to their networks to further the work of Australian Red Cross and help facilitate social impact.  The group has raised more than $6.7 million since 2014, with SWL members collectively determining the commitment of funds to Red Cross programs and services across Australia and internationally.  Further information about SWL: http://www.redcross.org.au/swl/   

Opportunity:
Australian Red Cross and SWL are seeking Expressions of Interest from young and passionate women to join a working group that will help design and launch a new peer-led giving circle, intended to empower a rising generation of young women to contribute to positive change on the issues that matter to them. 

The working group will include roles focused on 6 core areas (Marketing/PR; Social Media; Event Planning; Member Engagement; Treasurer; and Red Cross Program Liaison) and will be supported by SWL and Red Cross to create a tailored giving circle framework that speaks to the next generation. 

It is anticipated that participation in the working group will require a commitment of approx. 1 hour per week, and will work to achieve a public launch of the new giving circle in March 2024.  

Key characteristics:
Women who are passionate about making a difference; who embody the values and the fundamental principles of Australian Red Cross and the Society of Women Leaders community; and women who work well in a group, elevating the ideas and qualities of others to make a positive difference.
