Program & Partnerships Manager – The George Alexander Foundation

The George Alexander Foundation (part of The Ian Potter Foundation), is seeking a Program & Partnerships Manager to manage and administer the grant-making lifecycle and foster meaningful partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the philanthropic sector, driving impact through grant-making, stakeholder engagement, network development and managing scholarships through University Partners.

The Opportunity:

  • Grant Management: Oversee the entire grant-making process, from reviewing and assessing applications to monitoring compliance and evaluating completed projects.
  • Partnership Development: Identify and develop new partnerships, assess emerging needs, and strengthen relationships through site visits and regular engagement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Represent the Foundation at events and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to promote knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
  • Community Engagement: Work with the Communications Team to implement engagement plans and foster a strong GAF community network.
  • Operational Support: Ensure accurate records and workflows, and contribute to the overall success of The Ian Potter Foundation, supporting colleagues as needed.
  • Sector Engagement: Stay informed about trends in philanthropy and tertiary education, and provide strategic advice on opportunities and developments.

About You:
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently under pressure.
  • Strong analytical, research, and evaluation skills.
  • Experience in project management, from conception to completion.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Grant Management Systems.
  • Strong work ethic and respect for the values of The Ian Potter Foundation.
  • Commitment to teamwork and a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
  • Experience in the philanthropic sector and understanding of grant-making trends (highly
    desirable)

The successful candidate must complete a current Police Check.

The Offer:
This is a permanent position, located in the CBD. The Foundation supports flexible working, with an expectation of 3 days in the office each week. A competitive salary is on offer.
