Reporting to the Senior Program Manager of the Community Wellbeing program, the Program Officer provides general grant assistance to the Program Managers in managing their program areas (Community Wellbeing, Early Childhood Development, Medical Research, Public Health Research, Environment and Arts).

The Offer
This is a contract position located in the CBD, ending mid-December 2025 (maternity leave cover). Monday to Friday, 35-hour working week.

Key Responsibilities
Functional support for the program management team, including:
• Update grant history on the grant management system (GivingData)
• Respond to enquiries from applicants and potential applicants
• Assist Program Managers with administrative tasks
• Assist External Reviewers with the application review process
• Research and coordinate information
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of Committee and Board Papers
• Prepare correspondence
• Assist in scheduling grant payments and requirements
• Assist in the coordination of IPF-hosted events
• Prepare meeting agendas and take meeting minutes

Skills/requirements
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines
• Highly developed analytical, research and evaluation skills
• Capacity to attend to fine detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to consult and work effectively with a wide range of external organisations
• Ability to manage working relationships supporting multiple functional reports
• Project management skills
• Basic knowledge of financial systems
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Database administrative skills
• Experience with complex CRM or Grant Management Systems (ideally GivingData)
• Knowledge and/or experience in the philanthropy sector/ grant management is desirable
