ABOUT THE ROYAL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
Founded in 1989, The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Foundation is the fundraising arm of the RCH, one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals. The RCH Foundation has the vital role of raising and distributing donated funds to the hospital, enabling the very best patient and family care and support, and saving and improving the lives of our sickest children.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Philanthropy plays a crucial role in improving children’s health and transforming the delivery of healthcare. The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation Major Gift program aims to generate significant funds through meaningful relationship management of philanthropic donors, whilst ensuring donors feel valued and recognised.
Working towards a new 2030 Strategic Plan under a new CEO, the RCH Foundation has ambitious growth and innovation targets, including to increase philanthropic income through the portfolio of Major Gifts, Trust and Foundations and Gift in Wills.
The Philanthropy Executive – Major Gifts will play a key role in achieving these targets, inspiring donors to give generously in line with the priorities and objectives of RCH Foundation, managing a portfolio of donors and development of an individualised donor stewardship plan and supporting the implementation of the Major Gifts program strategy.
ABOUT YOU
- You are a fundraising and philanthropy professional, who enjoys building strong relationships with donors and is familiar with customer/donor management database software
- You have experience in major gifts fundraising, including gifts higher than $100,000, in personal solicitations, portfolio management and the preparations of proposals and reports
- You enjoy collaborating with other individuals and teams, to draw on their expertise to support and bolster your campaigns
- You are confident in your work, but know when and how to consult others to keep work moving, to achieve the best results and to avoid risk
- You have a commitment to personal development
