Flexibility of either 4 to 5 days per week

About the role

  • Pivotal role – with scope for potentially either 4 or 5 days per week and working from home 1 day a week option
  • Working with a small, friendly and collaborative team of people who are passionate about influencing social justice and equity in philanthropy
  • Between 8 to 10 wellness days annually prorated based on number of days worked

Who We Are  

Australian Communities Foundation (ACF) is a non-profit, intermediary and charitable foundation working with hundreds of everyday philanthropists to support structured giving.  We are currently home to more than 600 Funds and Foundations led by families, individuals, giving groups, and corporate/NFP organisations across Australia.

We connect those who can give with those organisations driving positive change. We do this by collaborating with different community organisations and, in parallel, developing a community of diverse donors. We seek to address social issues and influence systemic, positive and community-led change.

Responsibilities         

  • Reception management – for both ACF team and our team of co-tenants with some after-hours flexibility required for board meetings and occasional events
  • Principal contact for all internal and external stakeholders’ phone and email queries for the Foundation (with support by other administrators)
  • Office management – purchasing office supplies, managing shared office operations, room bookings, supporting external visitors with meeting rooms and facilities for our co-located Community of Giving tenants
  • Executive support to CEO and Senior Leadership team of three others (including scheduling/travel coordination and other admin support)
  • High level administrative support to ACF Board and Committees (agendas, papers and minutes)
  • Input CRM data and small element of work health and safety coordination

About you

  • You enjoy working, or are seeking opportunity to work in a for-purpose organisation focused on equity and social justice
  • Proven experience as an Office Manager, Administrative Manager and EA experience
  • Proactive, problem solver and a proactive approach to managing practical office related issues, simultaneously while performing more complex tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organisational skills
  • Work flexibly, enjoy collaborating and high degree of diverse stakeholder management
  • Enjoy learning and providing range of guidance to diverse queries
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
