HEAD OF ADVANCEMENT

Founded in 1923, Carey Baptist Grammar School is a leading independent co-educational school in Melbourne with 2,600 students from early learning to Year 12, more than 500 employees and over 20,000 alumni. With four campuses – two learning campuses in Kew and Donvale, a sports complex in Bulleen and a dedicated Outdoor Education campus on the Gippsland Lakes – Carey has a reputation as a highly innovative school, leading the way in teaching and learning. As Carey looks to the future, there is now a priority to develop and implement fundraising programs to foster and grow Carey’s philanthropic support.

Reporting to the Director of Community Engagement and with regular and direct communications with the Principal, the Head of Advancement will build strong and strategic relationships with alumni, parents and other supporters to increase philanthropic revenue to the School. Fundraising priorities will include the planning and execution of an exciting capital campaign.

Underpinning your success in this role is your track record of securing gifts at the 5-figure level or above, and experience working with supporters at all levels. Although not essential, you will have ideally gained experience within a school environment and will be able to implement best-practice and creative initiatives in a fundraising context.
