The Business Manager (BM) will be part of the Management Team, which also includes the Executive Officer (EO) and Education Benalla Program Manager. The position will report to the Executive Officer.
Position Summary
Pursue the objectives of Tomorrow Today to enable the creation of a stronger, more resilient and prosperous rural community, and build the capacity and influence of the organisation in order to achieve this goal.
The Business Manager will support the EO’s leadership of Tomorrow Today and take responsibility for its management and administration in line with the strategic and accountability frameworks set by the Board.
With the Chair and EO, the BM will enable the Board of Directors to fulfil its duties and responsibilities for the proper governance of Tomorrow Today and ensure that the Board receives advice and information in a timely, thorough and appropriate manner.
With direction from the EO, the BM will oversee the development of the Business Plan and all Tomorrow Today policies and procedures to achieve the required governance and compliance standards.

The role works with the EO and EBP Program Manager (the Management Team) to provide authoritative advice to:

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Strategic Thinking
- Support the development and delivery of strategy across the organisation, with particular focus on finance, compliance and risk.
- Provide strategic level input, advice and options to support informed decision making relevant to the position.
Organisational Management
- Lead the delivery of best practice in information technology, cybersecurity and record management.
- Oversee the financial management of Tomorrow Today’s three entities.
- Manage organisational risk and compliance.
- Prepare and review policies and procedures that support successful organisational management.
- Lead annual financial reporting, making improvements year-on-year
- Track donations.
- Oversee financial function of Blackbaud database.
- Prepare reports to inform Board of funds available for TTF grants.
- Provide main point of contact for investment advisor and support investment planning processes.
Governance Oversight
- Establish and maintain constructive and effective liaison and collaboration with Board and management team.
- Ensure all financial transactions, including donations and grants, comply with DGR requirements.
- Achieve and maintain compliance with:
- ACNC reporting
- Consumer Affairs Vic
- Work with Herbert Smith Freehills on any legal issues that arise.
- Oversee & prepare agenda/papers for:
- Board papers
- Audit Committee
- Finance & Investment Committee
- Risk Management Committee
- Grants Sub-Committee

Supervision Reporting Relationships
The Tomorrow Today Business Manager will report to the Executive Officer.
Qualifications
- Preference is for a relevant qualification (e.g. management, business, finance).
- Current National Police Check.
- Current Working with Children Check.
Salary
Employment terms and conditions provided by Tomorrow Today follow the National Employment Standards and the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS Award).
Hours of work
This position is part-time, requiring 22.5 hours’ a week of attendance, in line with the SCHADS Award.

Tomorrow Today Education Foundation and individual employees may agree to vary the application of the terms of the Award relating to any of the following to meet the genuine needs of both the employee and the employer:

- annual leave loading
Pay rate and allowances
A salary of $50.34 per hour will be paid, which is in line with Level 5, pay point 2 of the SCHADS Award. This rate of pay does not include superannuation; we’ll pay this separately.
