The Head of GiW and Mid-level donors at World Vision Australia (WVA) will be responsible for the development and management of World Vision Australia’s Gift in Wills program. You will also be responsible for the acquisition, retention and relationship management of World Vision Australia’s ‘mid-value’ donors across various channels.
Key accountabilities include:
- Development of a long-term strategy and annual plans and budgets for ‘mid-level’ donors and GiW.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures working closely with the Private Funding Lead Team and other parts of the organisation (finance, field, legal etc).
- Develop and manage the organisations GiW program, implementing the organisations 3–5-year strategy.
- Implement process improvements and ensure teams are engaging effectively with other parts of the organisation.
- Lead, mentor and motivate 3 direct and 5 indirect reports.
- Ensure teams meets financial and non-financial KPIs.
Who we’re looking for
As an expert in Fundraising and Bequests, you will understand the importance of building and nurturing long-term partnerships with existing Mid-Level donors and high net worth individuals and liaising with senior management and decision makers. Stakeholder management is (as always) absolutely critical to effectively service our supporters and in collaborating cross functionally within World Vision. Skills and experience include:
- 5+ years’ experience in a donor/customer development role, including at least 3 at a management/leadership level, preferably in the charity sector.
- A passion for connecting with donors supporters and a background in delivering best practice donor care.
- Excellent communication skills – written, phone and in-person
- Proven experience in donor stewardship to achieve fundraising revenue targets.
- Experience stewarding high value donors and supporters, particularly those considering leaving a gift in their Will.
- 5+ years’ experience in Bequests and Fundraising.
- Computer literacy skills across Microsoft Suite and CRM’s.

This role is a permanent position operating in a full-time capacity and will be based at our head office in Burwood East, Victoria.
