FAQs – updated membership tiers
Do you have a question about the updated membership tiers? Please see out FAQs below.
At the heart of Philanthropy Australia is you – our members – and our mission is to support and strengthen your impact. Based on member feedback, we’ve streamlined our offerings into three clear tiers to better support you and ensure you are getting the most from your membership.
PA membership provides exclusive tools and resources for those new to philanthropy, those advanced on the journey, and everyone in between. What’s the best tier for you?
- ENGAGE is our core membership offering and has been designed to support you (and your team) to become an involved part of the PA community, build your knowledge and networks, and support your philanthropic journey. ENGAGE is available as an individual ($1,700+GST) or organisational offering ($3,500+GST).
- Looking for more?
IMPACT is for funders who are ready to lead. You will have the opportunity to be involved in conversations that help shape the future of philanthropy in Australia, including VIP consultations and exclusive access to special events ($7,500+GST). - Looking to keep things simple?
CONNECT is for those who simply want to stay up-to-date. You will receive regular member-only news and updates, including grant rounds, job opportunities and exciting stories, and have access to our great range of online resources ($700+GST).
You can learn more about the membership tiers and benefits here.

We have listened to your feedback via our members survey and direct comments to our team and provided streamline tiers to better support you and ensure all members get the most from their membership. Members have asked for simpler and clearer membership tiers, and a greater distinction between the tiers, hence the move from four to three levels.
Yes! When joining or renewing, all members have the flexibility to choose the membership tier that suits their needs – ENGAGE, IMPACT or CONNECT.

CONNECT also works for teams, with the number of Better Giving Hub subscribers capped at 10.
Yes, they can! ENGAGE is available as an individual ($1,700+GST) or organisational offering ($3,500+GST). ENGAGE is our core membership offering and has been designed to support you (and your team) to become an involvedpart of the PA community, build your knowledge and networks, and support your philanthropic journey.
ENGAGE (individual) has effectively replaced the old Active tier, and the benefits and price remain the same. The only change is that the membership is only open to one person in your organisation.
The decision to adjust ACTIVE and offer ENGAGE individual and ENGAGE organisation was made after careful consideration of the benefits PA provides and the services we deliver for the price point.
Rest assured that the updated membership model ensures that you’ll continue to receive value relative to your investment.
