Review of the Electoral Legislation Amendment (Electoral Funding and Disclosure Reform) Act submission 2018

Philanthropy Australia lodged a submission regarding the review of the Electoral Legislation Amendment Act. When the initial Bill was introduced into parliament, we voiced our concerns regarding the negative impact it would have on the ability of charities to undertake issues-based advocacy. However, we welcomed the efforts of the government to improve the Bill and address our concerns, evident in the Act as it now stands.
