Yean has been working in the for-purpose sector for a decade. At Philanthropy Australia, he hopes to help create an environment where the organisations solving local issues have access to the capital and resources they need to be sustainable, resilient and innovative.

Prior to this, Yean was the Chief Financial Officer at Dismantle, a not-for-profit social enterprise helping young people at risk of long-term unemployment. He has a breadth of experience in partnership building, fundraising and impact investing.

Outside of work, Yean finds joy in creating pottery, swimming and cycling. He’s also a Global Shaper with the Global Shapers Perth Hub, a grassroots initiative of the World Economic Forum.
