Use our awards website to nominate someone for the First Nations Philanthropy Award.
Nominations are welcomed from Philanthropy Australia members, non-members, supporters and friends of our partner organisations.
The Australian Philanthropy Awards are open to all members of the Australian philanthropic and broader social change community. This award recognises both the ‘funding’ organisation and the ‘doing’ organisation. You can nominate your own organisation.
Nominations are assessed by the selection panel on the following criteria:
- Direct support of First Nations-led or controlled and operated organisations to fund activities, programs and collaboration which support and empower communities, and which have demonstrated results and impact.
- The funder has adapted the way it works to adopt and promote practices which support, strengthen and sustain Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders, community and culture.
- Fosters and facilitates reconciliation between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Specify the one thing that makes this an excellent nomination.
This award is for activity occurring in the last five years – this may include design, funding, outcomes and/or impact, or evaluation assessments.
To complete our nomination form on AwardsForce you will need to:
- Address the selection criteria in 1-2 pages or a 2 minute video and give reasons why your nominee should be considered for this award
- Describe your nominee’s role in Australian philanthropy
- Give evidence of tangible delivery outcomes and impact
- Optional: Estimate their amount of philanthropic investment – financial and non-financial.
